LYPP November Update
After 18 months of working mainly online we are delighted to be able to back providing face to face youth work in our lounge building, in Bridgend and in schools. After over 250 youtube videos and countless online chat sessions it is refreshing to once again be able to meet in person and work with the young people in Linlithgow and Bridgend.
An Overview of Our Work
At our lounge building we run drop in youth sessions on Tuesday evenings (7-9pm) and Friday afternoons (12:30-4pm). These sessions are open to young people from S1 and above. During these sessions young people can come and go as they like and take part in any of the activities we are running.
In Bridgend we run our football for both primary and secondary aged young people on a Wednesday evening at the Bridgend Community Centre. Primary aged football runs from 6:30-7:30pm followed by our secondary group from 7:45-8:45pm.
We also do a wide variety of schools work within both primary and secondary schools. This includes our mentoring programme, running PSE classes, games clubs and opportunities for accredited awards.
Our counselling service has now been up and running for over a year and we continue to provide donation based counselling to young people aged 12 and up.
